Clubs and Activities
We are pleased to present today the Clubs and Activities (AGs) for the first school semester. The AGs take place from Monday to Thursday, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, and offer students the opportunity to deepen their interests, discover new talents, and have fun together.
For the first time, these activities will not be conducted exclusively by DISS teachers, but also in cooperation with external partners such as Alliance Française Sharjah, Sharjah Chess Academy, and United Karate Group International. This results in a broader range of activities, but also different price levels: 800 AED or 1125 AED per semester (each plus VAT).
Students who attend Arabic classes every two weeks and are interested in one of the AGs are welcome to contact us separately by arrangement.
The following Clubs and Activities are available this semester:
Reading Arabic – Playful approach to Arabic script, fostering reading fluency, and expanding vocabulary.
Math Adventures – Puzzles, exciting experiments, and creative approaches to mathematics.
Arts & Crafts – Painting, crafting, designing with various materials – a space for creativity and imagination.
Basketball – Technical training, team spirit, and plenty of movement with the ball.
Football – Play and training with a focus on fair play, coordination, and enjoyment of the sport.
Karate – Introduction to martial arts, body control, discipline, and self-confidence.
Chess – Strategic thinking, concentration, and tactics under the guidance of the Sharjah Chess Academy.
Zumba – Dance, fitness, and rhythm – movement to music with plenty of energy and joy.
Gymnastics – Focus on flexibility, body awareness, and coordination, combined with play and fun.
Registration is binding and subject to a fee, and for the first time this year, it will be done via a Google Form.
Please register your child by Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the latest. Cancellation after registration is not possible.
Additionally, we would like to inform you that some of our external partners also offer additional activities after 3:00 PM. However, no bus service can be organized for these activities, so parents must arrange for pick-up themselves.
